This data is entirely user-provided. We do not collect betting data from external sources.

2.3 Uploaded Content

When using import features, you may upload:

  • Screenshots - Processed by AI for text extraction, not permanently stored
  • CSV/Excel files - Processed locally in your browser, not stored on our servers

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect minimal technical data:

  • Theme preference - stored locally in your browser (localStorage)
  • Pending import data - temporarily stored locally during import workflows
  • Authentication session - managed by Supabase for secure access

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide the Service - Store and display your betting data, calculate analytics
  • Authenticate you - Verify your identity and secure your account
  • Process imports - Extract data from screenshots using AI
  • Communicate with you - Send verification emails, respond to support requests
  • Improve the Service - Fix bugs and enhance features based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Database Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with:

  • Row-Level Security (RLS) - Ensures you can only access your own data
  • Encryption at rest - Data encrypted when stored
  • Encryption in transit - All connections use HTTPS/TLS

4.2 Application Security

We implement multiple security measures:

  • Input validation and sanitisation on all user inputs
  • Protection against common vulnerabilities (XSS, SQL injection, CSRF)
  • Secure session management
  • Regular security updates

4.3 Password Security

Your password is:

  • Hashed using industry-standard algorithms by Supabase Auth
  • Never stored in plain text
  • Required to meet minimum complexity standards (8+ characters, mixed case, numbers)

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We only share data with third parties that are essential for providing the Service:

5.1 Supabase (Essential)

  • Purpose: Database hosting and user authentication
  • Data shared: Account information, betting data
  • Location: Supabase infrastructure (varies by project region)
  • Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy

5.2 Anthropic Claude API (Optional Feature)

  • Purpose: Extract text from bet slip screenshots
  • Data shared: Screenshot images you choose to upload
  • Processing: Images analysed in real-time, not retained after processing
  • When used: Only when you use the screenshot import feature
  • Privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy

We do not share your data with any other third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, or social networks.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained until you request deletion
  • Betting data: Retained until you delete it or close your account
  • Screenshots: Not retained - processed in real-time and immediately discarded
  • Local storage: Controlled by your browser, cleared when you clear browser data

Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: View all betting data stored in your account
  • Export your data: Download your data in standard formats
  • Correct your data: Edit or update any betting records
  • Delete your data: Remove individual records or your entire account
  • Withdraw consent: Stop using the Service at any time

UK and EU users have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies: We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Authentication is handled via Supabase session tokens stored in your browser's session storage.

Local Storage: We use browser localStorage for:

  • Theme preference (dark/light mode) - purely cosmetic
  • Pending import data - temporary storage during multi-step import workflows

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings. The Service will continue to function, though you may need to re-select your theme preference.

9. Children's Privacy

betr.pro is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. We will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area where our service providers operate. When this occurs:

  • We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place
  • Our providers (Supabase, Anthropic) maintain appropriate data protection standards
  • Data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations for processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by:

  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Sending an email notification for material changes
  • Displaying a notice within the Service
